Indifference & Time

We're all so full of secrets
That time and the indifference of others
Will never allow to be shared
A deep well of memories
That make up each of our lives
At odd moments they seem to bubble to the surface
To delight and to haunt
To terrify and to heal
They crack the hard shell of our hearts
Even if only for a moment
They leave you
Wishing for more
Because you can't get enough of them
Even the ones of the things that messed you up
(Look those square on
And mock their place in time
Locked in the past and powerless
The damage done long ago)

Jump into the well.

  1. Jackory,

Wow! This is fabulous and deep...just amazing, I am not sure what exactly to say because this poem says it all so well.
