My first impression of the new REM song wasn't very favorable. But now, having seen them perform it live on the Today show, I have had to change my opinion. Maybe it was the energy of playing it live, I don't know. Stipe sounded really good...the best I've heard from him in years. If the whole album is as good as the first single, I'll be putting it on my "must have" list.

However, I will say this: Good Lord, Michael, would you please invest some money in some shaving cream and a razor?

Perhaps Mike Mills is camera shy and had an agreement with the cameramen to avoid aiming their cameras at him.
